The Three Men and a Baby Ghost

The Three Men and a Baby Ghost

This article will be covering the strange paranormal scene that turned up in the 80’s Hollywood blockbuster Three Men and a Baby…

Success

Three Men and a Baby was the biggest blockbuster of the year back in 1987 when it first came out. It made over $100,000,000 in America alone, which was Disney’s highest ever grossing movie at the time.

A remake of a French hit it even won a People’s Choice award the following year.

Its popularity peaked again for much eerier reasons three years later however. Creepy rumours started to spread about a phantom-like figure that clearly appears in the background of one of the film’s scenes.

The legend of the Three Men and A Baby Ghost was born…

The Phantom Figure

People flocked in their thousands to rent the video for the opportunity to see this ghostly apparition caught on film for themselves.

And it didn’t disappoint.

After around 60 minutes of screen-time Ted Danson’s character, Jack, and his mother are passing through the living room carrying the famous baby.

The Phantom Figure

The first hint of ghostly behavior can be seen in the window here. It has been claimed that the shape of a rifle can be made out, which is a dark precursor to what appears in that same window around 30 seconds later.

What appears next in that window is not the shadow of a curtain, but a solid and standing human figure.

A young boy, he appears to be looking longingly through the window, at the family life he could never have had.

Rumors quickly surfaced that he was the child of a family who had left the house in grief after the suicide of their son.

At first the story went that he had thrown himself out of a window, but this was soon updated to include the rifle, and nowadays people will tell you the boy shot himself.

The Rumors

No-one is quite sure why the boy would have killed himself, although further rumors whisper that his family sued to keep his story a secret.

These rumors seem unlikely to be true however. The movie wasn’t even filmed in a house, but a studio.

The fact that it wasn’t even a real house doesn’t affect the fact that the figure is real though, you can even see it here with your own eyes in the video below:

The Three Men and a Baby Ghost is clearly more than just rumor.

What is it?

But if it isn’t a ghost, what is it?

The answer is actually a lot simpler and less spooky than you might hope. It turns out it was simply a life sized cut out of Ted Danson that would have appeared in the film, but instead ended up on the cutting room floor during editing.

That’s the official story at least.

Other people are a lot less convinced by this explanation. Critics say they can clearly see the figure move, others that it is wearing completely different clothes to the tuxedo wearing cardboard Danson.

What the true story behind the Three Men and a Baby ghost is none of us may ever know, but most of us are happy to accept the official line.

Cardboard cut outs are much easier to understand than ghosts and the supernatural.

The Oklahoma Impound Lot Ghost Incident

The Oklahoma Impound Lot Ghost Incident

This article will be covering the Oklahoma impound lot ghost incident from July the 17th, 2005. Did the security cameras pick up a paranormal entity, walking through the wrecked cars?

The Footage

The evening of July the 17th, 2005 – a female security officer from a car impound lot in Oklahoma City spotted something extremely strange on her monitors.

Suddenly, on one of the closed circuit cameras, a figure seemed to be walking through the wrecked cars. It was stopping every now and again to look through car windows – as if they had left something inside one of the vehicles.

All the alarms were set – but for some reason…the security sensors had not been tripped.

The Footage of The Ghost

One of her colleagues went to investigate the scene, but by the time he got there, the strange figure had vanished. He had also vanished from view on the security monitors.

All the gates were still locked and no security alert had been triggered.

The Ghost

When the footage went public, many people believed that this was the image of a ghost – maybe someone that had died in a car crash and was still linked to the wreckage.

It’s worth noting that the impound had taken in three wrecked vehicles that had been involved in fatalities that day.

Within days a family came forward who had lost their daughter in a car crash three weeks earlier. The truck she had died in occupied the exact same spot the figure was seen in on the monitor…but it had been removed from the location a few days before hand.

The Debunking Attempts

The footage spread through the news networks like wildfire, before long it was put in front of a team of experts.

They concluded that the footage had not in any way been tampered with, and that the camera had indeed picked up something true within its field of view.

Conspiracy theorists jumped on the bandwagon, and tried in vain to replicate the footage. Their best attempt was a rather shitty experiment involving a doll that was being dangled in front of the security monitors…

Understandably, it failed to convince the paranormal believers.

A few other methods were used to try and discredit the footage, but they all failed to replicate the semitransparent sections of the ‘entity’.

A number of paranormal investigators believe that this ghost had no idea it was dead – it was actually walking around the Oklahoma impound lot in search of it’s body.

They also believe that this soul needed to see it’s own body before it could move on – it needed that proof before it could rest in peace.

Ghost Caught on Security Camera

Ghost Caught on Security Camera

I don’t often include ghost footage from YouTube archives on this site because I would be working around the clock – hundreds of new examples pop up on the streaming service every single day!

So, I try my best to limit their coverage to the uploads I find interesting.

The example we will be looking at today shows a ghost caught on security camera in an Egyptian pharmacy.

I decided to showcase it here NOT because I think it is legit…but because I think the ‘person’ who put it together has done quite a good job…

A Ghost Caught on CCTV Camera?

Hell no – but the editor of the video should really think about putting his/her talents forward for work on a indie horror film (don’t you think?).

It’s impressive enough to watch, but it’s blindingly obvious it’s fake.

First things first – do security cameras like this have audio on them?

I’m not 100% sure but I haven’t come across a CCTV setup that includes audio…well, not one that a chemist can afford, anyway!

Also, the glitch effect used on the final rendered video looks like a million green screen effects available (for free!) on YouTube itself – you’ll find numerous Found Footage Horror movies using them!

Fake?

I wouldn’t normally include anything on this site I felt was fake, but the level of editing and effort put into this was quite impressive at the end of the day.

Unfortunately, this is the type of thing we are up against these days – the truth will always end up being diluted by the high quality hoax efforts…which is a shame really!

Now it’s over to you – just because I think it’s fake, doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to follow suit!

What are your thoughts on this new ghost footage?

A real recording of paranormal activity…or nothing more than an impressive piece of amateur CGI?

Ye Olde Man and Scythe – Paranormal Footage

Ye Olde Man and Scythe - Paranormal Footage

I came across this interesting paranormal footage whilst doing my ‘spooky rounds’ over the weekend – I often spend my Sundays planning out what content I am going to post to our ‘Mysteries network’ over the coming week.

The footage in question was taken at the Ye Olde Man and Scythe pub in Bolton, UK. It is actually the 4th oldest pub in Britain that dates as far back as 1251.

I usually opt to include paranormal footage in the Real Paranormal Video Footage section of the site, but I thought this would make an interesting post to start the week off!

Take a look for yourself and see what you think…

Paranormal Activity At Ye Olde Man and Scythe

The paranormal footage was first discovered by pub manager Tony Dooley one Friday morning. As he opened up the bar area he accidentally started wading through broken glass on the floor.

He immediately thought the premises had been burgled the night before so he rushed over to the CCTV system to find out who was behind the break in.

Tony watched the footage in horror as a flickering figure appeared behind the bar area – then without warning, the footage suddenly cut off at exactly  6:18 am.

James Stanley

The Ye Olde Man and Scythe pub, which dates from 1251, is reportedly haunted by the ghost of James Stanley, the seventh Earl of Derby.

Stanley was a royalist, whose family originally owned the inn. Reports suggest that he actually spent the last few hours of his life in the pub before he was escorted to his execution – he was beheaded in 1651 toward the end of the Civil War.

A antique chair still sits in the pub, and legend has it that this was the chair he (Stanley) sat in as he awaited his fate at the hands of the executioner.

Many locals and paranormal enthusiasts believe that this chair has somehow managed to keep the spirit of Stanley within the walls of the old pub.

Stanley’s Not Alone…

During the Bolton Massacre in 1644, hundreds of people were slaughtered directly outside the pub. Many paranormal investigators have visited the pub and claim at least 25 of these slaughtered souls still haunt the premises.

Mr Dooley also claims that he has had numerous contacts with the spirit of an eight-year-old girl and a phantom dog at the pub.

Only a few weeks ago he said he was woken by what he thought was his girlfriend’s dog, Kallie, licking his bare foot that was sticking out of the bed sheets.

He got up to tell the dog off and realized that Kallie was actually sleeping on the bed next to him.

Tony is completely open-minded about the paranormal activity he has experienced at the pub and has invited numerous psychics and investigators over…to see what they could find.

He simply states that: “This is a well-known haunt in Bolton and people are quite receptive of it”

Images of Real Ghosts Caught on Camera

Throughout the construction of this site I have come across thousands of images of real ghosts caught on camera (as you can imagine!).

Now, in this day and age of Photoshop we all know that a large majority of these more modern examples are complete sh#t (sorry about the profanity but ‘it is what it is’ at the end of the day!).

Anyway, I’ve tried to showcase as many of the more famous or ‘mainstream’ examples – not all of you will agree with me but you’re free to express your opinions in the comment section below.

Don’t forget to bookmark this page as we will constantly be updating it with new examples we stumble across. We are looking to hit a 10,000 word count eventually…which will make it the largest page on this subject on the internet!

Real Ghost Images Caught on Camera

1) Praying Alone

I decided to include this photograph first as it was taken in the same year I was born – I also find it incredibly peaceful and moving for some reason…

Ghost With Praying Woman

Unfortunately I can only find a small amount of information on the picture itself, so if you have anything to add to it please contact us so we can include it in the article…

The picture was taken by a couple who visited the Worstead Church in Norfolk in 1975. The husband took a photograph of his wife praying silently in one of the old pews.

When they developed the photograph they realized that she was never really praying alone…

2) The Wedding Photographer

This picture was apparently taken by a wedding photographer who was testing out his equipment on farmland where an upcoming wedding event was taking place…

The Wedding Photographer

When he developed the shot he discovered the image of a young child staring right at him. He returned to the farm a few days later to carry out his job and asked the owner of the farm about what he had snapped in the photograph.

The farm owner was not at all surprised with the image and told the photographer that he often encountered the spirit of a young boy in a nightgown walking around his property!

3) The Shining

Those of you that are Stephen King fans will already be VERY familiar with the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. It’s the hotel that inspired the writer to pen The Shining.

The Shining

This photo was actually snapped in April of 2016 by a guest at the hotel – it’s taken inside the hotel’s grand lobby and stairwell.

Henry Yau took the photo and he claimed that nobody was around the stairwell at the time, he just wanted a picture of this famous lobby.

Paranormal researchers have been all over this picture and a larger majority of them think that there are two ghosts in the frame – a woman dressed in period black clothing and a small child to her left…

4) The Hanging Man

In the mid 1950’s the Cooper family were excited to move into their new property in Texas – they decided to preserve this monumental family moment with a photograph…

The Hanging Man

The joyous family portrait seemed to show up a lot more than one would expect…

5) Freddy Jackson

The image below was taken of Sir Victor Goddard’s squadron in the second World War. The photograph was snapped on the same day as the funeral of an air mechanic named Freddy Jackson.

Freddy Jackson

The zoomed-in section of the photograph shows Freddy peering over his good friend’s shoulder as his own funeral was taking place.

Maybe he just needed to let his squadron know that he was okay and he would always be with them in spirit?

6) The Amityville Boy

These days, the Amityville haunting tends to divide opinion due to all the hoax claims that have surfaced over the years…

The Amityville Boy

After Ronald DeFeo Jr. murdered his family in the house on Ocean Ave. in 1974, Kathy and George Lutz snapped it up at a bargain basement price.

It wasn’t long before they reported green slime oozing from key holes and supernatural entities openly gazing at them from the house windows.

The paranormal activity became too much for the family who eventually fled the property…but they decided to let a handful of investigators into the abandoned house to see what they could find.

This photo of a ghostly image of a little boy was apparently taken by one of these investigators.
