This article will be taking a look at the Hopkinsville Kentucky aliens case of 1955. What were the strange goblin creatures that appeared at the Sutton family farmhouse?
The Hopkinsville Goblin Case
On August the 14th, 1955, a local woman in Dogtown, Indiana, contacted the local press with a strange story.
She claimed that while on a swimming trip along the banks of the Ohio River, she and her friends had noticed a peculiar shiny object above them in the sky.
Without warning, some sort of creature reached through the water and grabbed at one of the group – trying desperately to drag them under the water.
It’s arm, and hands, were fuzzy – as if covered in a type of fur material, it also had claws on the end of each finger.
Exactly one week later, a family gathering took place at a small farmhouse near Hopkinsville…
The Hopkinsville KY UFO Incident
The gathering took place at the Sutton family’s farmhouse, and close friend Billy Ray Taylor was attending.
Taylor was outside getting water from the farm’s well when he noticed something large and bright, falling out of the sky. It seemed to land in a nearby field.
He went back in the house and told the gathering what he had just witnessed…but his claims were met with laughter.
Later that evening, the family gathering were shocked when the Sutton’s dog started barking uncontrollably. Billy Ray and Lucky Sutton decided to scan the area outside, to see what was concerning the animal so much.
Within minutes, the two men ran back in the house screaming and looking for the shotguns – they told the family to lock all the doors and stay away from the windows.
The shocked family members asked what had happened, and the two young men told them that a number of strange creatures were in the nearby field.
Over the next few hours the family were terrorized by these creatures as they hung to the farmhouse walls, and peered at them through the windows.
The creatures were apparently short with pointed ears, claw-like hands and large round eyes. They wore strange metallic, silver-colored suits.
The Terrifying Hopkinsville Encounter
Many of the creatures were shot through the windows of the home, and at one point, Taylor went outside to shoot at more.
Whenever he hit one of the creatures, the bullet seemed to have little effect – the creature would simply float away further down the yard.
After a couple of minutes outside, one of the ‘goblins’ managed to grab Taylor’s head. He managed to get away, and retreated back to the safety of the house.
The family eventually managed to get into two separate cars, and make a mad dash into the nearby town, where they went straight to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff and a number of local and State law enforcement officers, visited the farmhouse soon afterwards.
The creatures were gone, but they found a lot of shotgun shells outside the farmhouse. The family members pleaded with the authorities to search the house – they were petrified and did not want to go back into the home.
The house was searched, and nothing was found.
Just before the search was concluded, the local media turned up and started taking accounts off the family members involved.
The authorities and the media left, a couple of hours later…but the family insisted that the ‘goblins’ reappeared later that night, and started terrorizing them once again!
This family had no reason to lie, and left the farmhouse and moved on within a matter of weeks after the incident.
